Description of the tool

This tool allows the user to change the map scale to a smaller scale at fixed intervals. It will double the area of the current extent. 

How to use the tool

Prerequisite:

Add any prerequisites in order to use the toolThe Map is not at the smallest possible scale.

Steps:

1. Press the Fixed Zoom Out tool button

4. The map scale is changed and the map is drawn at a smaller scale, showing a less detailed view.

5. If it has been configured on your display, you can get the same result by pressing the - (minus) button on the Pan/Zoom Bar (which is normally shown on the left of the Map Window).
