  Configuration Reference

This guide provides details for configuring the individual items that you use with Weave, it contains reference information outlining the available options for each component along with example usage.

This guide covers how to change the appearance of your Weave client. All the details can be found in the Client sub menu. Different parts of the Weave client are covered in the following sub menus:

• Client Layout
  • Layouts are used to define regions on the screen that are available for embedding content.

• Client Views
  • Views provide the content for each layout. They are what the user sees with the Weave client so can be placed in the north, south, east, west, etc, panels.

• Client Toolbars
  • A toolbar is a set of actions or components that are placed relative to each other. A toolbar can be placed inside any view, inside a layout region or at the application level.

• Client Actions

  • Action are ways that the user interacts with the Weave client.

  • An action can be rendered as a button or a tool. A button is activated when a user clicks on it. A tool is used to interact with a particular view on the screen.

• Client Components
  • Components are additional ways that the user can interact with the Weave client and also provide a way for the client to display information to the user.
  • They generally provide a more complex interaction with Weave than a simple action does (e.g. a combobox with a list of active entities, a list of scales, a loading indicator or a scalebar).

• Client Context Menus
  • Context menus can be added to the Map View or the Table of Contents to give the user quick access to existing tools or to additional tools. 

• Indexing
  • Describes how to set up the indexes that are used for the Weave Quick Search tool. 

  Developers Guide

This guide provides the details to extend and modify the Weave libraries and also create new components Cohga has not yet implemented. This guide will be a fascinating read for developers but if you're not going add or modify the libraries Weave uses then you'll most likely never need to use this guide.
