Spatial Data Editing

Spatial Data Editing

The spatial editing extension for Weave provides a means to edit geometry and attributes for an entity. It is a module that can be licensed from Cohga to extend the capabilities of a Weave solution.

Entities can be configured to manage points, lines, polygons, multi-part features, and geometry collections. The Weave Edit Tool is a simple but powerful browser-based editor that works with and complements Weave capabilities. It provides data management capabilities across an organisation using an existing Weave server.

The Weave Edit Tool is not a full GIS editing suite, nor is it intended to replace them. It is aimed at organisations that require the ability for a broad range of simple data collection and management purposes. Capabilities include:

  • Creating geometries and associated attributes;

  • Updating geometries and associated attributes;

  • Deleting geometries and associated attributes.

  • Features can be “snapped” to other features as they are created or updated.

Data entry can be by:

  • The mouse;

  • Coordinate entry;

  • File upload;

  • Transfer from another entity.
